Your description of the world&#039;s largest cucumber sounds like a &quot;dua gan&quot; that we had in VN. It&#039;s a melon (dua), a lot like a watermelon without the water. VN sprinkle sugar on it before eating. It has a grainy, almost sandy texture, not kids&#039; favorite fruit.  Maybe that&#039;s why the &quot;gan&quot; which means liver in VN.
