Hey Crystal- Andy K here, hope you’re doing well!

I saw your list of restaurants, and wanted to recommend a fwe if you haven’t been already (also, I’ve never been to Azitra, I’ll have to check that out):

Randy’s Pizza (Durham) for probably the best NY Pizza in the Triangle.

Bonefish Grill (Cary) great fish and seafood.

Vespa (Cary) incredible Italian food, but kinda pricey (note: there’s one in Chapel Hill too, but the one in Cary is much better)

Daniel’s (Apex, right off of 55) great italian/family dining. I put this place neck and neck with Maggianos, but their slightly healthier food and nifty combos (mushroom ravioli is really interesting, as is the house pasta) puts it a hair over in my book.

Peking Garden in N Raleigh – Great Chinese food, cool atmos. Also, authentic-ish Dim Sum every Sunday

Duck and Dumpling (Chinese) in Raleigh was pretty good: Very unique food, great chef, but a bit pricey.

Bandito’s Mexican cafe in Durham (Hopy Valley) is pretty good IMO… also there’s a better one in Cary right offa Harrison/I-40 (next to Sam’s club) but I can’t recall the name for the life of me (Torero’s? El Dorado? Damn…). The one near Harrison has this “Fajita sampler” platter with chicken, beef and shrimp with all sorts of veggies and beans and rice… I’ll try to find the name.

Il Palio in Chapel Hill – Very Pricy (“the only 5 star restaurant in the triangle” or somesuch), but very delicious (IMO it’s about the same level as Vespa, but the food choices are very creative). Definitely worth a try at some point.

North Carolina Museum of Art’s Blue Ridge Restaurant: ( http://ncartmuseum.org/restaurant.shtml ). VERY creative food, lunch only, and local and foreign dishes. And not all that expensive. Every once in a while Orie and I take a long lunch just to go here.

Sitar India Palace in Durham (up by chuck-e-cheez, taco bell and all behind and to the left of the Super-Target/Sams), GREAT indian. Evenings they have buffet with… I forgot what it’s called, but it’s basically this Indian food where you mix a lot of stuff together into a sauce and eat it. Anyway, good stuff.

Great list! We’re totally with you on Chosun, Neomonde, and Cook Out. I’ll have to hunt down Hunan and check out Firebird.
